Fostering neighborhood- sponsored
Urban Art Concept
The community of Belltown in Seattle, Washington wanted to activate an unused space in their neighborhood: the alleys. With my team at UAC, I developed and presented an initiative focused largely around these images at a community forum; they are part of a project proposal that was accepted by the community. Through the introduction of street art produced by local artists, the alleys will be transformed into bright and welcoming spaces for recreation. The artwork will take many forms, such as murals, sculpture, performance, media, fabric, and light art; these pieces will highlight and emphasize the unique character of the pre-existing buildings and the character of the alleyways.
